The Leader began as a free-circulation newspaper and has grown into the largest paid non-daily paper in Arkansas.

The company, located at 404 Graham Road in Jacksonville, was founded by Garrick and Eileen Feldman with two employees at 1314 John Harden Drive.
The Feldmans still own and operate the family business, which has some 100 full- and part-time employees, making The Leader one of the major industries in Jacksonville.
The Leader goes into more than 40,000 homes in several towns from Sherwood to the Searcy city limits, from Carlisle to England, as well as Jacksonville, Little Rock Air Force Base, Cabot, Ward, Austin, Beebe, Des Arc and elsewhere.
The Leader Extra is delivered free to nonsubscribers in Pulaski, Lonoke and White counties.
We’re also one of the state’s largest commercial printers. The Leader publishes the Drop Zone, the official newspaper of Little Rock Air Force Base, and the Arkansas Minuteman, the official newspaper of the Arkansas National Guard.
The Leader also prints several other weeklies, monthlies and circulars.
The Leader has the largest press line between the Arkansas River and north Arkansas and recently expanded a second line, making it possible to print two newspapers at the same time.
