WORLD CHAMPION DUCK CALLER GIVING LOCAL CLINICS 

Legendary duck caller Butch Richenback from Rich N tone Calls of Stuttgart will be at Cabot Church of Christ on Second Street from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays of each week throughout the summer. Richenback is a world champion caller and maker since 1974 and is doing the clinics for free. All ages are welcome. For more information, contact Simone Leatherberry at 501-941-9833.


CLINTON McDONALD FOOTBALL CAMP STARTS TODAY

Former Jacksonville Red Devil and current Seattle Seahawk nose guard Clinton McDonald will be holding the first “Iron Sharpens Iron” Football Camp on Wednesday, June 19 at the Dupree Park soccer fields in Jacksonville. Early registration fee is $25 per camper. Day-of cost will be $30. Deadline for early registration is Friday, June 14.  Campers can register at the Jacksonville Parks and Recreation office, located at 5 Municipal Drive in Jacksonville. Camp will be divided into two sessions. Ages 8 to 12 will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Ages 13 to 17 will work from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

LION' S CLUB GOLF TOURNAMENT SET FOR JUNE 24

The Jacksonville Lions Club’s sixth annual Harold Carlisle Memorial Golf Tournament will be Monday, June 24 at Southern Oaks Country Club in Jacksonville. The tournament is a four-person scramble and entry fee is $100 per person. It includes green fees, cart, range balls, lunch, on-course refreshments, two mulligans per player and one skirt per player. After the round, one player will have the chance to putt for $10,000. Entry forms are available at Southern Oaks Pro Shop, The Bar-B-Q Shack, the Jacksonville Lions Club facebook page, or email Roger Sundermier at rsundermier@firstarkansasbank.com


CABOT VOLLEYBALL CAMP SCHEDULED FOR MID-JULY

The Lady Panther youth volleyball camp will be held July 15-18 at the Cabot High School and Cabot Junior High North. The camp for students entering grades 5 through 9 will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Monday through Wednesday, July 15-17. Cost is $50. For kids entering first through fourth grades, camp will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, July 18. Cost is $25. Camp flyers can be found on the school website.
