Bridging the Gap Resale Shop in Lonoke held its grand opening on Wednesday.
The thrift shop, at 505 N. Center St., is part of the Lonoke Exceptional Development Center.
Store hours are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Donations are accepted on the last Saturday of the month.
The store sells donated items, arts and crafts from LEDC adult clients and plants grown in the LEDC greenhouse. All proceeds go to support the LEDC employment program and community living program.
The store will have employees who have learned basic skills through the LEDC program, which prepares them for workplace settings. LEDC had 14 clients who expressed interest in working at the store.
