The Lonoke County Fair and Livestock Show continues today through Saturday at the fairgrounds, 1006 W. Third St. in Lonoke.
Admission is $4 for adults, $2 for children, and kids under 6 years old are free. Admission is free Thursday for senior citizens over 62.
Parking is $5.
Armbands for rides cost $15 from 6 to 11 p.m. today and Thursday, and $20 from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
Admission to the Redneck Games on Friday is $5 for adults, $3 for kids.
Admission to the rodeo on Saturday is $8 for adults and $5 for kids.
The carnival opens today. Also set for today are the cut flowers and herbs show from 7:30 till 8:45 a.m., and dairy goat, sheep and swine judging is being held most of the day.
On Thursday, the Farmer for a Day event is from 9 to 11 a.m., the horse and mule show is at 10 a.m., poultry judging is at 9 a.m. and poultry showmanship at 1 p.m.
The fair parade will be at 5 p.m. Thursday starting at Lonoke City Park at South Center and Academy streets.
On Friday, beef cattle show is at 9:30 a.m., dairy cattle show at 1 p.m. and rabbit show at 4 p.m.
Other highlights on Friday include the rodeo queen’s grand entry at 7 p.m. and the Redneck Games and Mutton Bustin‘ at 7:30 p.m.
Registration for Mutton Bustin‘ starts at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday’s lineup includes the In the Heart of Arkansas Backyard Barbeque Contest, the 4-H and FFA livestock show at 9 a.m., horse and mule pull at 9 a.m., children’s pet show at 10 a.m., lawnmower races at noon, youth talent show at 1 p.m., 4-H poultry auction at 3:30 p.m., crosscut saw contest at 4:30 p.m. and the rodeo and Mutton Bustin’ at 7:30 p.m.
